Getting Around

You do not need to hire a car to enjoy your holiday in Turunç. The nearby larger centres of Icmeler and Marmaris can be reached easily by taxi, dolmus or (our favourite) by the hourly taxi-boat – ~£4 return to either. Icmeler is a purpose-built resort that seems to be merging ever more closely to Marmaris.

J&M and the other travel agencies offer a wide range of relatively inexpensive half, full and two day trips – some examples are given below.

There are a number of boat trips available from Turunç – try Amos or Çiftlik and a wider range from Marmaris – there are also Hydrofoil trips to Bodrum and Rhodes . If you do hire a scooter, car or jeep the Bodrum and Datça peninsulas are excellent days out.
